Dr. Amiliah Kenya is an instructor of basic sciences: Head and Neck Anatomy and Abnormal Psychology. She has a B.Ed. From Kenyatta University in Kenya where she and her husband lived before coming to the United States, an M.S. in Counseling from Bob Jones University, and a D.C. from Sherman in 206. She has NIH Research Training Certification and licensure in SC for physiotherapy. She is researching entering GPA, grades and pre-test scores on the NBCE Part I.
She joined the Sherman faculty in 2009 to teach and to chair the college’s Student Success Program, which is designed to help students complete the D.C. program successfully through mentoring, counseling and tutoring. Kenya has a passion for students. She encourages them to “let the anticipated end be an inspiration for your hard work today.” She wants to see students lose their fear of anatomy class. Kenya and her husband, Charles, have three children.
