The curricululm is based on the Sherman System developed by Sherman faculty who take the time to get to know each student personally. They treat students as colleagues and are committed to helping students become experts in chiropractic.

Through a sequenced course of study, students complete 14 quarters of study in a wide variety of subjects: basic sciences, including anatomy, physiology, chemistry,  and radiology,  but also learn  chiropractic philosophy, research skills, chiropractic technique and business practice.

A diversified education in the basic and clinical sciences, with laboratories in anatomy, microbiology, physiology and pathology, helps students understand the scientific rationale for chiropractic and its relationship to human physiology and health.

The college day begins at 8 a.m., Monday through Friday, but some students like to get up early to take a short sunrise run through the beautiful campus. Classes are held  on the hour. Depending on the quarter, classers may run until 6pm. Free periods allow for personal study, library time, meals and extracurricular activities.

During their study at Sherman College, students serve an internship in the Chiropractic Health Center, further developing their chiropractic skills through practical experience gained under the close supervision of licensed doctors of chiropractic.

The Sherman College Chiropractic Health Center is the locale for student interns’ practical clinical training. As part of this training, students learn the Sherman System, a technologically advanced, philosophically sound, clinically useful approach to the detection and correction of vertebral subluxation.

Sherman College is committed to presenting an instructional program which prepares its students as doctors of chiropractic, who are health care providers specializing in the area of vertebral subluxation, to assume and discharge their responsibility to their patients and society. Vertebral subluxation analysis and correction is the unique contribution that doctors of chiropractic make to a patient’s health.
