About the Tom and Mae Bahan Library

The Tom and Mae Bahan Library, located in the Scallon Building, is a specialized health sciences and chiropractic library. Materials for the biological and clinical sciences, as well as chiropractic-related and business-related subjects, are available.  The library now features an NBCE Reference section for course research and exam prep, as well as an alumni authors display.

Hands on learning

Bones and other models available

Reference and research assistance is readily available from 7:30 am to 4 pm and 6 pm to 10 pm Monday through Thursday; 7:30 am to 4 pm on Friday; and 12 noon to 6 pm on Saturday. After 6 pm during the week, and on weekends, students should use the Scallon entrance closest to the Olsen building. After 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and anytime on Saturday, students are encouraged to park in the faculty/staff parking lot.

Students are also welcome to contact us for help at any time.  Also check out the Library files on Blackboard.

The library provides six small study rooms for individual/small group study or tutoring and one large room for group study sessions or meetings. An additional study room offers students a hands-on opportunity to study the library’s collection of bones and anatomical models individually or with classmates.

The media section of the library houses a variety of audio and video materials relevant to the mission and curriculum of the college. Many college-wide speaker presentations are filmed and are available for checkout. Copies of some college-produced programs are available for purchase for a nominal fee and a blank DVD.

Interlibrary loan services are available for those who require access to materials not currently available on premises. We cannot guarantee delivery times for any requested materials.  ILL request forms can be obtained in the library.
