Sherman College of Chiropractic will host the 11th annual International Research and Philosophy Symposium (IRAPS), the only peer-reviewed conference on vertebral subluxation research and the philosophy of chiropractic. The conference will be held October 17-19 on the campus of Sherman College of Chiropractic in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
The theme this year is The Future of Subluxation-Centered Chiropractic. It is a pivotal time in the history of the chiropractic profession. Philosophy and research will play important roles in defining the profession for the future. The theme is designed to allow participants to orient their papers and their poster presentations toward the future. The theme will set the tone for the conference, which will include a keynote speaker who will offer a vision for chiropractic’s future in research and philosophy.
Where is subluxation-centered chiropractic going?

- How might we help to ensure that subluxation-centered chiropractic not only survives but thrives?
This year’s symposium will include:
- workshops to help you grow and broaden your skill sets in research and philosophy
- expert panels who will discuss some of the most critical issues related to chiropractic today

Fourth Annual Oktoberfest Set for Thursday, October 16
Sherman alumni and friends, along with students slated to graduate within the next year, are invited to meet Alumni Association officers and enjoy a German meal and beverages at the 4th annual Sherman College Alumni Association Oktoberfest on Thursday, October 16, at 6:00 pm.
Hosted by the Sherman College Alumni Association, the party is held in honor of the student interns, giving the future chiropractors an opportunity to meet alumni association officers and colleagues.
Anyone coming into town to attend IRAPS at Sherman is also invited to join the fun.
