International Research and Philosophy Symposium
October 20-21, 2012, 12 hours CE
Sherman College, Spartanburg, SC
Calls for Abstracts Due by June 8, 2012
Over the weekend of October 22-23, 2011, Sherman College hosted its 8th annual International Research and Philosophy Symposium (IRAPS) in Spartanburg, SC and welcomed over 100 friends of Vertebral Subluxation.
IRAPS is a wonderful union of the philosophy and science of chiropractic. The
art of chiropractic is the expression of the philosophy and science and this year
chiropractors using 5 different techniques reported on studies they were conducting
in their practices.
There is a wealth of evidence on subluxation centered practice and it is great to see IRAPS grow. There were a half dozen students and staff from three chiropractic colleges presenting as well.
Dr. Christopher Kent, a vital and noteworthy leader in the chiropractic community
presented the Keynote address, “Winning the Debate on Vertebral Subluxation”,
an overview of contemporary scientific literature supporting chiropractic

In addition to the philosophy and research abstracts presented, we were excited to welcome 14 new graduates of the Academy of Chiropractic Philosophers program. This program expands your knowledge of chiropractic philosophy and critical thinking skills. It is accepted as the first year of the ICA Council Chiropractic Diplomate Program.
Sherman would also like to extend its appreciation to its co-sponsors,
Seattle Upper Cervical Research Institute, International Federation of Chiropractors
and Organizations, The Best Mission Trip Ever, On Pointe Seminars, and the Foundation
for Vertebral Subluxation. Your support was invaluable.

So…we hope to see you next October 20-21, 2012 on campus as we
celebrate the 9th year of IRAPS.
“Every DC and Student needs to attend IRAPS. It is the ONLY event like it in the profession. Hats off to Sherman College for a great event.”
“It is important to the profession”
