CHIROPRACTIC HEALTH
CENTER
AT SHERMAN COLLEGE
Some of the most valuable
training you will receive at Sherman College
comes from hands-on experience - literally.

To successfully complete the doctor of
chiropractic program, you will serve as an
intern in our world-class Chiropractic Health
Center, which features 23 spacious rooms
equipped with modern chiropractic and adjusting
equipment. The Sherman College Chiropractic
Health Center draws nearly 30,000 patient
visits each year from Spartanburg and surrounding
communities.
In the Chiropractic Health Center, you will
practice the art of chiropractic under the close
supervision of licensed and experienced
chiropractors. You will provide patient care
using the most modern methods, the best
available equipment and the latest research
data.
As a student intern, you will experience all
aspects of patient care, including taking case
histories, making spinographic x-rays, educating
patients and developing plans of care. You will
practice and use a wide range of spinal
adjustment procedures.
In addition, the Chiropractic Health Center's
full-time marketing and community relations
director coordinates learning in the areas of
communication and practice-building skills and
will involve you in numerous community outreach
events.
In 2005, student interns at
Sherman participated in more than 200 community
activities, including Special Olympics, Spinal
Screenings, Health Fairs, Health Presentations,
Adopt-A-Highway, Kids Day America, Special Food
Drives, School Supply Drives for the needy,
blood drives for the Spartanburg Blood Bank,
Nursing Home Programs, Lunch-N-Learn programs at
area businesses, free care for the Downtown
Rescue Mission and many more
