The World Chiropractic Alliance will honor
Sherman College founders Thom and Betty (‘76)
Gelardi, D.C.s, at its International Summit
2004, April 29-May 1, at the J.W. Marriott Hotel
in Washington, D.C.
“Too often, we wait until people are no longer
with us before we pay tribute to them,” says WCA
President Terry Rondberg. “I don’t want that to
happen with Thom Gelardi. I want him to spend
his next decades (may they be many!) knowing
that his contributions — past, present and
future — had and continue to have a powerful and
positive impact on the chiropractic profession.
Rondberg also plans to extend the tribute to
Betty Gelardi, “the one person who has been by
his side, and in his heart, since the beginning.
One of the most remarkable, intelligent and
compassionate women I have ever met, she has
been a true and dedicated friend to chiropractic
— and to thousands of chiropractors and
students,” he says.
Rondberg invites anyone who knows and admires
the Gelardis to join the WCA during a special
ceremony at the Summit. “Come light a candle for
Thom, and thank him for carrying the torch for
chiropractic,” he says.
The World Chiropractic Alliance program, hosted
by Rondberg, will feature 15 speakers and will
cover philosophy, research, clinical practice
and public relations. The event will close with
the candle-lighting tribute to the Gelardis.
