SHERMAN COLLEGE
RESEARCH CENTER
|
Welcome to the Sherman College Research
Department. The mission of the Research
Department is to pursue scientific research
concerning the characteristics, analysis and
correction of vertebral subluxations, as well as
to assist in the dissemination of chiropractic
educational information. Research training is
also provided to students and faculty, as well
as opportunities for the College constituency to
engage in meaningful research. The Department’s
interests lie in the development of objective
measures of assessing the vertebral subluxation,
particularly in regard to its biomechanical and
neurological components. Investigations into the
effects of subluxation correction involve
assessments of human physical and mental
performance as well as physiological effects.
The Department is also committed to the
development of methods of assessing chiropractic
adjusting skills. State of the art technology
allowing for evaluation of data from 3-D images
of the actual adjustment will provide
information that allows students and instructors
to critique progress in acquiring expertise in
administering the chiropractic adjustment.
