  • 5/07/10, Parker College of Chiropractic announces grant opportunities for Chiropractic researchers. Multiple grants are available and each will provide up to $5,000 of financial aid in clinical research projects. Letter of interest is due by July 1, 2010.

  • 5/06/10, Dr. Lafayette Briggs promoted to new position as Research Assistant Professor.

  • 4/9/2010 Dr. Mitzi Schwartzbauer has been appointed as new IRB Chairperson.

  • 4/9/2010 Dr. Hart's manuscript entitled "Cancer Mortality in Six Lowest versus Six Highest Elevation Jurisdictions in the U.S." is accepted for publication in the Dose Response, a peer-reviewed scientific journal.

2010 Winter Quarter

  • 3/26/2010 Dr. Hart presented his research work, entitled “Cancer Mortality Rates and Land Elevations in the Carolinas” at the 6th annual SC Upstate Research Symposium

  • 3/19/2010 Two research posters were presented at ACC/RAC by Sherman faculty and graduates.  Faculty members Cindy Gibbon, D.C., John Hart, D.C., and Claudia Seay, D.C., presented a poster on  “Intra- and Inter-examiner Reliability of Mastoid Fossa Thermal Readings Using Chiropractic Instrumentation.” John Hart, D.C., Matthew Christopher, D.C., and Ralph Boone, Ph.D., D.C., presented “Asymmetry in Atlas Bone Specimens: A Pilot Study.”

  • 3/5/2010, Research abstract “Application of Luminescent Bacteria and Bacterial Luciferase in Food Safety” by Wang, J-X., Lin, H., Zhu, L., Mei, C.,  Luo, P. G., Wang, J., and Wang, Y is accepted for poster presentation at the 110th General Meeting of the American Society for Microbiology. Dr. George Luo will present this research in San Diego, CA, May 23-27, 2010
