Intern of the Month

The Sherman College Health Center faculty recognizes an intern each month who excels in his/her clinical performance.  The intern is chosen each month from those enrolled in Clinic 722 through Clinic 810.

	Casey Bogart (April 2013) is a twelfth-quarter student from Alma, MI. Following graduation in December 2013, she plans to buy a practice in Leland, MI.
	Brendal Epling (March 2013) is a fourteenth-quarter student from Pikeville, KY. Following graduation in June 2013, he plans to complete an associateship in South Carolina, then move to Johnson City, TN.
	Alex Povazhnyak (February 2013) is a twelfth-quarter student from Ukraine. Following graduation in September 2013, he plans to open a practice.
	Nicholas Hannouche (January 2013) is a fourteenth-quarter student from Spartanburg, SC. Following graduation in March 2013, he plans to join his father Bill Hannouche, D.C., in practice in Spartanburg.
	Amy Mock Willis (December 2012) is a fourteenth-quarter student from Portland, IN. Following graduation in March 2013, she plans to join practice in Kennesaw, GA, with her in-laws, Bill and Kay Willis, D.C.s, and her husband, Justin Willis, who will graduate in June 2013.
	Tiffany Padden (November 2012) is a thirteenth-quarter student from Lakeview, MI. Following graduation in June 2014, she plans to practice with Gary and Cathie Padden, D.C.s, in Lakeview.
	Jasen Van Dyke (October 2012) is a thirteenth-quarter student from Troy, PA. Following graduation in March 2013, he plans to work as an associate doctor in South Carolina.
	Cheng Eak Chew (September 2012) is a fourteenth-quarter student from Malaysia. Following graduation in December, he plans to open a practice in Johor Bahru.
	Edgar Mendoza (August 2012) is a twelfth-quarter student from Houston, TX. Following graduation in March 2013, he plans to work as an associate in Texas.
	Allison Smith Pass (July 2012) is a twelfth-quarter student from Lumberton, NC. Following graduation in March 2013, she plans to open a practice in Greenville, NC.
	Sandip Patel (June 2012) is a thirteenth-quarter student from Spartanburg, SC. Following graduation in December he plans to work as an associate doctor.
	Dayna Socha (May 2012) is a twelfth-quarter student from Wyandotte, MI. Following graduation in December, she plans to open a practice in Tennessee or Kentucky.

Criteria: Intern of the Month

 

The following criteria are used to determine the Intern of the Month.

1. Number of outpatient visits

2. Number of outpatients started and maintained

3. Ability to perform analytical procedures properly

4. Ability to apply proper adjusting techniques

5. Excellent patient management

6. Extraordinary professionalism

Each month a list of candidates will be generated from the Health Center faculty doctors and record personnel. The information will be reviewed at the first Health Center faculty meeting of each month. Selection of the intern of the month will be made at that time.

The recipient will be notified by letter from the vice president of health services and will also be announced on the college message board. The recipient will make an appointment to have his/her photograph taken for the Intern of the Month board in the Health Center reception area.
