Clusserath, Fordree Named to Posts in Health Center 6-3-02

JUNE 03, 2002 - Michael Clusserath, B.S., D.C., was recently named interim dean of chiropractic health services. Dr. Clusserath is a 1987 graduate of Palmer Chiropractic College West and a 1982 graduate of Washington State University, where he majored in zoology. Before joining Sherman College as an assistant professor and health center faculty member in January 2000, Dr. Clusserath maintained a private practice for 11 years in Covington, WA.

At Sherman College, he has served as principal committee chairperson for the Committee on Administration and Organization for the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) self-study, and he currently serves as principal committee chairperson for the Committee on Faculty and Resources for the Council on Chiropractic Education (CCE) self-study for the college’s upcoming accreditation renewal process.

Janice Higgins-Fordree, D.C., has been named director of interns in the Chiropractic Health Center. Dr. Fordree is a 1989 graduate of Sherman College and received her associate’s degree in liberal arts from Spartanburg Methodist College in 1984. Before joining the college as a Health Center faculty doctor in 1997, Dr. Fordree practiced at Johnson Chiropractic Clinic and Plemmons Clinic as an associate. She also managed a private practice, Chiropractic Life Center, for two years.

As director of interns, Dr. Fordree will continue to serve as a health center faculty doctor. In addition, she will coordinate intern workshops, supervise the coordination of the Extern Program, supervise senior interns, and carefully monitor and assess the progression of each intern through the clinical program.
