Chicken Soup Author to Speak at Sherman
College Homecoming Event
Mark Victor Hansen to present “The Power of
Focus”
In the area of human potential, few experts are
better known and more respected than Mark Victor
Hansen, author of the best-selling Chicken Soup
for the Soul book series. For more than 25
years, Hansen has focused on helping people and
organizations from all walks of life reshape
their personal vision of what is possible.
You can hear Hansen’s motivational message, “The
Power of Focus” on Friday, May 23, 2003, at 8
p.m. on the campus of Sherman College of
Straight Chiropractic.
Hansen’s powerful messages of possibility,
opportunity and action have helped create
startling and powerful change in thousands of
organizations and millions of individuals
worldwide. He is an enthusiastic crusader of
human potential and is driven to make the world
a better place.
“The Power of Focus” will help you learn how to
get past old procrastination patterns and
ingrained habits that keep you from your
targets. Create healthy new strategies and
implement consistent persistence. Learn when to
ask and when to act. And find ways to scrabble
over any barrier or stalling tactic to achieve
your better future, your fully realized and
capable you.

Greenville (864-235-9651). A book sale and book
signing will immediately follow Hansen’s
presentation on May 23.
Hansen’s inspirational talk takes place as part
of the college’s 30th annual homecoming and
continuing education event, Lyceum. This
celebration will be held May 22-25 on the
college’s campus and involves four days packed
with seminars for alumni and other chiropractors
from across the country and around the world.
Lyceum is open to the public, and many programs
are free. Several of the special events during
Lyceum include:
• Fireworks display on Thursday evening, May 22,
at 10 p.m., free to the public.
• Career Day program on Saturday, May 24, from
10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Explore the possibilities of an
exciting and rewarding career as a doctor of
chiropractic. The Career Day program is free and
