Log on to Watch Pat Summerall’s Spotlight on
Sherman College
Recognizing Sherman College of Straight
Chiropractic’s contributions to the chiropractic
profession and the world, Pat Summerall
Productions recently selected the college as
part of its “Spotlight on Education,” a
30-minute special edition of its paid program
Champions of Industry.
The program aired nationwide on The Discovery
Channel network on October 14 at 7 a.m. and
November 11 at 8 a.m. and was hosted by Pat
Summerall, the acclaimed broadcaster known as
“the voice of the NFL.” Three other cutting-edge
institutions were also featured, and the segment
devoted to Sherman College lasted approximately
five minutes.
You can watch the segment about Sherman by

this link.
When introducing Sherman College on the program,
Summerall noted several reasons why chiropractic
stands out as a satisfying career. “People have
a lot of career choices today,” he said. “Some
are searching for a career that’s growing in a
field that is expanding. Some are looking for a
way to help their fellow man. And some want to
have the ability to have their own business….I’m
here to talk about a place which can fill all
three desires: Sherman College of Straight
Chiropractic.”
During the feature, Summerall discussed the
growth of the chiropractic profession and the
increasing acceptance of chiropractic as a
separate but integral part of health care.
Footage shows the college’s 80-acre campus,
students and professors in basic and clinical
science classes, and students and faculty
doctors working with patients in the on-campus
Chiropractic Health Center.
Summerall also noted the growing need for
chiropractors in America. “In the coming years,
chiropractic will become an integral part of
maintaining optimum wellness for millions of
people,” he said. “And since Sherman students
are dedicated to advancing chiropractic care,
they may someday change the world.”
Sherman College was selected for inclusion in
the program earlier this year, and a
videographer for Pat Summerall Productions
visited campus on July 14 to conduct interviews
and tape classroom and Health Center activities
for the production. Streaming video of the
segment featuring Sherman College will be posted
at Pat Summerall Productions’ web site,
www.theeducationstation.com for one year.
During its search for institutions to highlight,
Pat Summerall Productions sought U.S. colleges
that exemplify leadership and success and have
unique curricula and missions. The institutions
selected are those that are “engaged in
innovative efforts to deliver on their
missions,” according to the company.
The “Champions of Industry” series serves as the
company’s recognition award for excellence in
business practices and has been airing for eight
years. Companies attain champion status “because
of their integrity, ingenuity and proven
leadership in their respective industries,” the
Summerall web site notes.
