The Faculty Member of the Year award recognizes a faculty member who is an excellent instructor; a moral and ethical inspiration to students and colleagues; a role-model in working to advance the practice of subluxation centered chiropractic; and a person who participates in college events and other activities outside the classroom that promote the mission of Sherman College.

Comments on ballots of those voting for Ivanov included the following: “He is interesting and passionate about the subjects he teaches,” “He keeps us focused” and “Dr. Ivanov is really great at engaging the students in ways that explain the material.” Students cite Ivanov’s ability to prepare them well for national board exams and his willingness to treat them as colleagues and true graduate students.

Ivanov, a native of Russia, holds an M.D. from Tver Medical Academy and teaches Cardio Diagnosis, Physiology Lab, Cardio Physiology and Fluids. Aside from teaching, Ivanov enjoys playing basketball, reading books and magazines and spending time with friends.
