CONTINUING ED:   Sherman College regularly offers continuing education opportunities for doctors of chiropractic and hosts an annual Lyceum (homecoming) program which brings hundreds of visitors to campus.

RESEARCH:   The Research Department is housed in the college’s Chiropractic Health Center and works with faculty and students to investigate the vertebral subluxation, analysis for its correction and associated outcomes. The department offers state-of-the-art electrophysiological equipment. The results of projects carried out at Sherman College have been presented at professional conferences around the world and published in national, peer-reviewed scientific journals.

LEADERSHIP:  :  Edwin Cordero, D.C., was named Sherman's fifth president in 2013. Dr. Cordero practiced chiropractic for 19 years after graduating from Life University in 1993; he practiced in Puerto Rico for one year and then built a successful family practice in Lantana, FL. He is bilingual in Spanish and English, and he has mentored students and chiropractors through motivational speaking engagements at chiropractic associations, conferences and other organizations around the world. Sherman College of Chiropractic's Board of Trustees is a visionary group of chiropractors and other professionals who are dedicated to carrying out the college's mission, goals and objectives to educate chiropractors, to conduct chiropractic research and to serve humanity with high quality chiropractic care.

CAMPUS:   The college’s 80-acre campus, accessible from Interstate Highways 26 and 85, is ideally located at the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Spartanburg, SC, which has been named one of Relocate America’s Top 25 Places to Live and Go to School, and rated the top city in South Carolina to live and No. 48 nationally. Sherman is the only chiropractic college in the Carolinas and one of just 18 in the United States.

COLLEGE TOWN:   Spartanburg is truly a “College Town,” boasting seven other institutions of higher learning that provide opportunities for students interested in a variety of paths. College Town aims to create opportunities for students and institutions to connect with the city; to enhance students' academic, social and service opportunities through institutional collaborations; to seek programmatic enrichment opportunities among colleges; and to further the missions of member institutions.
