Recognizing Sherman College of Straight Chiropractic’s contributions to the
chiropractic profession and the world, Pat Summerall Productions recently
selected the college as part of its “Spotlight on Education,” a 30-minute
special edition of its paid program Champions of Industry.
The program aired nationwide on The Discovery Channel network on October 14 at 7
a.m. and November 11 at 8 a.m. and was hosted by Pat Summerall, the acclaimed
broadcaster known as “the voice of the NFL.” Three other cutting-edge
institutions were also featured, and the segment devoted to Sherman College
lasted approximately five minutes.

When introducing Sherman College on the program, Summerall noted several reasons
why chiropractic stands out as a satisfying career. “People have a lot of career
choices today,” he said. “Some are searching for a career that’s growing in a
field that is expanding. Some are looking for a way to help their fellow man.
And some want to have the ability to have their own business….I’m here to talk
about a place which can fill all three desires: Sherman College of Straight
Chiropractic.”
During the feature, Summerall discussed the growth of the chiropractic
profession and the increasing acceptance of chiropractic as a separate but
integral part of health care. Footage shows the college’s 80-acre campus,
students and professors in basic and clinical science classes, and students and
faculty doctors working with patients in the on-campus Chiropractic Health
Center.
Summerall also noted the growing need for chiropractors in America. “In the
coming years, chiropractic will become an integral part of maintaining optimum
wellness for millions of people,” he said. “And since Sherman students are
dedicated to advancing chiropractic care, they may someday change the world.”
