Christian Chiropractic Club Honors Faculty Members

Drs. Donofrio, Decken and Castellucci were honored for their dedication to the Christian Chiropractic Club

You might deduce by the club’s name alone that members of the Christian Chiropractic Club on campus are a giving group. But the club recently honored several faculty members in recognition of how much those individuals have given in support of the club, its members and its projects.

The club surprised Ron Castellucci, D.C., Bill Decken, D.C., and Joe Donofrio, D.C., at a December meeting with engraved crystal plaques. The inscriptions read, “For your faithfulness to God and your unselfish love, patience and time given to the Sherman College Christian Chiropractic Club.”

Donofrio was quick to point out the students’ dedication to the club as well. “It’s a beautiful award,” he says, “but the students are really the ones who do the work. As faculty members, we enjoy seeing the students master chiropractic techniques. It’s even more uplifting to watch them serve and encourage their fellow classmates.”

Tammy Emory, a fifth-quarter student and member of the club, helped raise funds to create the awards. “Drs. Castellucci, Decken and Donofrio put a lot of time into the club,” she says. “They invest their personal finances, and they sponsor students who may want to attend retreats. Any time a student is in need, they are very giving. We wanted to give back.”
