Sherman Granted Reaffirmation of
Accreditation from CCE

The Commission on Accreditation (COA)
of the Council on Chiropractic Education (CCE) notified Sherman College of
Straight Chiropractic on January 14, 2005, that it had reaffirmed accreditation
of the doctor of chiropractic degree program. As such, the doctor of
chiropractic degree program of Sherman College of Straight Chiropractic is
accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of the Council on Chiropractic

Graduates, Pioneers Celebrate
Sherman's 100th Commencement

While 46 new
chiropractors reminisced about their last three and a half years at Sherman,
graduates of the college’s first class traveled back in time 28 years to a
humble but memorable ceremony held at a local movie theater in 1976 in
Spartanburg, SC. Sherman College’s December 2004 commencement ceremony proved to
be a memorable one for both the 100th graduating class and the “Pioneer”
graduates in attendance.

We Met the Challenge

Thanks to the many alumni and
friends of the college who answered our request for donations! Sherman College
met the challenge of raising $75,000 by the end of 2004 to earn matching funds
from Dr. William Harris and the Foundation for the Advancement of Chiropractic
Education.

International Research and Philosophy Symposium

Plans for the 2005
International Research and Philosophy Symposium, to be held October 22-23 on the
campus of Sherman College, are underway. This year’s conference invites papers
focused on the philosophical and scientific aspects of the neurophysiological
components of the vertebral subluxation. Abstracts are due June 1, 2005. For

Sherman Welcomes 16 in Winter Class

3, 2005, Sherman College welcomed the Winter 2005 class during New Student
Orientation. Students were first greeted by Stacy Flowers, Dean of Student
Affairs and then introduced to Dr. Jerry Hardee, president of Sherman College,
who congratulated them on their success in acceptance into the doctor of

Bagelfest

Sherman College students Levi Pulver, Robin Pace and Elizabeth Pagano have successfully completed the Virginia Beach Rock ‘n’ Roll Half Marathon in Virginia Beach, VA. The 13.1-mile race was held September 5, and the three Sherman students enjoyed scenic views and live entertainment along their route. More than 12,700 runners participated in the event. READ MORE |
