Harris Challenge to Secure the Future ---------------------------------------------------- |

Recently Dr. William Harris of the Foundation for the Advancement of Chiropractic Education in Alpharetta, GA, challenged Sherman College to raise $75,000 before December 28 of this year. Upon completion of this task, Dr. Harris will match those funds by donating $75,000 from his foundation. The end result is $150,000 toward the Sherman College Endowment Fund.

We all know that communicating chiropractic’s philosophy and purpose is extremely important for D.C.s and chiropractic students. But what happens when communication barriers act as roadblocks? You have to find ways to overcome them, says Sherman’s Vice President for Institutional Advancement Barry Nickelsberg. That’s why he’s volunteered to teach an American Sign Language (ASL-I) course on campus.

Students Complete Half Marathon --------------------------------------------------------- |

Sherman College students Levi Pulver, Robin Pace and Elizabeth Pagano have successfully completed the Virginia Beach Rock ‘n’ Roll Half Marathon in Virginia Beach, VA. The 13.1-mile race was held September 5, and the three Sherman students enjoyed scenic views and live entertainment along their route. More than 12,700 runners participated in the event.
