On January 3, 2005,
Sherman College welcomed the Winter 2005 class during New Student Orientation.
Students were first greeted by Stacy Flowers, Dean of Student Affairs and then
introduced to Dr. Jerry Hardee, president of Sherman College, who congratulated
them on their success in acceptance into the doctor of chiropractic program. Dr.
Myron Brown, Executive Vice President and Provost, also spent a few minutes
addressing the students and reminded them that they would be seeing him all
quarter as their philosophy instructor!
The students also met representatives from the Office of the Registrar, who
helped with scheduling classes; the Office of Financial Aid, who helped with
their student loans; and current Sherman College students from the Chiropractic
Student Government and the Health Center Advisory Board.
The class of 16 new students represents nine different states throughout the
U.S. and one foreign country. Fourteen of these new students hold baccalaureate
degrees or higher.
We look forward to watching these new students and working with them as they
progress through the chiropractic curriculum, and in three and a half years,
graduating them as great doctors of chiropractic!
