Nalyn Russo Marcus,
D.C., has been sharing recipes at the front desk of her Bethlehem, PA, office
for a few years now, and the office has cooked up a new idea – compiling a
cookbook to sell as a fund-raiser for the Federation of Straight Chiropractors
and Organizations’ (FSCO) Sylva Ashworth Scholarship Fund.
The cookbook’s working title is “Cooking with Chiropractic, Vol I. – Delicious
Recipes from Well-Adjusted Kitchens!” Marcus is looking for an assortment of
recipes from D.C.s and laypeople and practice members to share, with a goal for
a publishing date in time for the holidays.
According to the
FSCO web site, the Sylva Ashworth Scholarship provides $1,000 scholarships
for single mothers to assist with tuition and childcare, “recognizing the
tremendous sacrifice in the decision to pursue a D.C. degree as a single
mother.”
If you would like to participate in the cookbook project, send your full name
and recipe to nalyn@chiromom.com by June
30. You may also send an anecdote or a little of your chiropractic story. For
more information, contact Marcus at the e-mail listed above.
