Sherman College of Straight Chiropractic students and administrators were in
Washington, DC, on May 4 to represent the college and profession at the annual
Chiropractic Coalition Legislative Summit.
The annual Summit features guest appearances by many well-known Washington
personalities from the entire political spectrum, both houses of Congress,
attorneys and even lobbyists. Participants visited their senators and
representatives, spoke with staffers and built important relationships while
having their chiropractic views heard.
The event is sponsored by the Chiropractic Coalition, a cooperative effort of
three national associations. The Chiropractic Coalition was founded in November
2002 by the International Chiropractors Association (ICA), the World
Chiropractic Alliance (WCA), and the Federation of Straight Chiropractors and
Organizations (FSCO). The Coalition works to advance vertebral subluxation-centered
chiropractic organizations in the best interest of the public and the
profession.
