  Sherman College Supports Virginia Tech

The thoughts of all of us at Sherman College of Straight Chiropractic are with the students, families, friends, colleagues and all the others affected by the tragic events at Virginia Tech on April 16, 2007. Please see our Virginia Tech web page for Dr. Gelardi’s message of support on behalf of the college and for photos of our “Orange and Maroon Effect” Day.

Sherman College takes pride in maintaining an intimate and safe campus atmosphere. However, as we have learned through the recent tragedy at Virginia Tech, no college is immune to crime. Please rest assured that the college has procedures and policies in place in its Emergency Response Plan should a crime or campus emergency arise. This plan is reviewed and updated on a regular basis.

You can find the latest Sherman College campus safety data in the 2006 Campus Safety and Crime Report. On that same page, we offer tips on staying safe on campus, a list of emergency contacts, and even details on reporting a crime. In addition, students, faculty and staff may use our confidential student issue report to share a concern about a friend or colleague on campus.
