Sixty-three representatives from colleges and universities across the country and the world marched in the procession for Coastal Carolina University President David A. DeCenzo’s inauguration on Friday, September 14, and I was honored to be among them representing Sherman College of Straight Chiropractic.

Other constituents participating in the inauguration ceremony included Coastal faculty, staff, students, emeritus faculty, alumni, board of trustees and more. David A. DeCenzo became the second president of Coastal Carolina University on May 7, 2007.

It was a beautiful day in Myrtle Beach, and a very dignified ceremony and a fun-filled celebration. As I dressed in my college regalia, I couldn’t help but think about the fact that soon (next Lyceum, in fact), Sherman College will be having its own investiture of President Jon Schwartzbauer, D.C. – and now I have lots of ideas to share with the Sherman community once we begin planning. It is an exciting time to be at Sherman College!
