The college
held its annual Strategic Planning Council on August 11, 2007, at the
Spartanburg Marriott at Renaissance Park. The 23-member council, made up of
members of the Sherman College Board of Trustees, administrators and staff is
charged to review achievement toward the college’s current strategic plan and to
revise the plan (set future objectives) to ensure the college is moving toward
achieving its vision to bring straight chiropractic to the world.
Participants enjoyed the day off campus reviewing program and department
outcomes data, brainstorming and developing an aggressive plan for the college’s
future. The college’s strategic goals remain:
• Secure
Financial Future
• Strengthen Student Enrollment
• Strengthen Commitment to Straight Chiropractic
• Promote Sherman College
• Educate and Support the Most Successful Straight
Chiropractors
Each goal is
supported by specific objectives and timeline for completion.
The council event coincided with the board’s official on-campus welcome to Jon
Schwartzbauer, D.C., fourth president of Sherman College on Monday, August 13.
Board Chair Dr. Cindy Pekofsky warmly welcomed Schwartzbauer in the presence the
campus community and shared the Board’s confidence in his leadership ability.
