Heads up! If you’re planning to attend Lyceum at Sherman College this Memorial
Day weekend, be sure to double-check the event locations on the schedule you’ll
receive in your registration packet. Some of our programs have moved downtown.
Yes that’s right – some of our Lyceum events will be held in
downtown Spartanburg at the newly opened Chapman Cultural Center. It’s just one
of the ways we are enhancing the
Lyceum experience
for you.
Join us Friday, May 23, for an evening of fun and entertainment featuring
comedy-magician Justin Kredible, who performs in more than 300 live shows a
year. USA Today calls him “the country’s hottest comedy-magician.”
Here’s a little taste of Justin Kredible when he appeared on
Rachael Ray’s
daytime talk show. You’ll find he’s “like a magician but cooler.” The whole
family is sure to love Justin Kredible.
We’ve booked the beautiful new theater located within the Chapman Cultural
Center in downtown Spartanburg for Friday evening. This
gorgeous new facility is located within walking distance of the Marriott.
After the show, we’ll step outside and view the traditional Sherman fireworks
display.
While at the Chapman Cultural Center, be sure to have a look at the
life-size sculpture of the raptor on permanent loan from Sherman College to
the Science Center. The sculpture, named “Bird of Prey,” is the work of Michael
Tracik, who also created the Jurassic Park models. The sculpture was a gift to
the college from Drs. Reggie and Irene Gold.
Even the children’s program will include a visit to the Chapman Center. Your
children will have the opportunity to join with others in the program for a
field trip to the Science Center in addition to other days filled with fun
activities, dance and education about chiropractic.
Check out all the
Lyceum offerings and
register online.
More to Inspire the Fire
You asked and we listened! There will be more plenary sessions added to the
program. Plenary sessions will be held each day, including a President’s Panel
addressing the question, “What changes would you like to see in the profession
and how do you plan to go about being that change?” Dean DePice and Tony Palermo
are each featured speakers in plenary sessions.
Reggie Gold will host the traditional and inspiring Spirit of Lyceum closing
event on Sunday morning to send you home inspired. Other sessions of note
include Developing Practice Teams, Breaking Through Plateaus, Systems Solutions
for Practice Success, Service and Sure-Fire Strategies to Ignite Your Cash
Practice.
All of these programs, together with the highest quality clinical sessions,
were chosen to
Inspire the Fire in you, your family and your team.
