Sherman College of Straight Chiropractic has been the home of chiropracTIC’s Lyceum since 1974. Now as Sherman College is celebrating its 35th anniversary year, this Lyceum promises to be one of the most exciting, hands-on and memorable of all Lyceum events.
Here are just a few of the highlights.

Research Accepted for Publication

Sherman College faculty members have had research papers accepted for publication in peer-reviewed journals. They include:

Basic Science Assistant Professor George Luo, M.S., Ph.D. -- Luo GP, Tzeng T-R J, Shah RR, and Stutzenberger FJ. Nanomaterials for antimicrobial applications and pathogen detection, Current Trends in Microbiology 2007 (3); 111-128.

Clinical Science Instructor Arlene Welch, D.C., and Director of Research and Professor W. Ralph Boone, PhD., D.C. -- A. Welch, R. Boone, Sympathetic and Parasympathetic Responses to Specific Chiropractic Adjustments of Subluxation of the Cervical and Thoracic Spine, Journal of Chiropractic Medicine.

Dr. Bob Berkowitz has always been a great ambassador for Sherman College in his home state of New Jersey. He visits local colleges to talk to students about a career in chiropractic, participates in career programs at high schools and has hosted career nights at his office. Read more.

Watch trees fall, see sidewalks get demolished and get sneak peeks of what’s taking their place. You can even take a virtual tour of the new Gordon and Helen Brown Student Plaza. These much-needed physical improvements, along with ongoing program enhancements, are necessary for Sherman College to advance into the next 35 years of preparing the minds, hearts and hands of future chiropractors.

A highlight of this Lyceum will be the investiture of Dr. Jon Schwartzbauer as Sherman College’s fourth president on Thursday evening, May 22. We want you to be there to congratulate him, celebrate the college’s 35th anniversary and look toward the next 35 years. Won’t you join us?
