Claytons to Retire

 
 

Julie and Sheldon Clayton, Ph.D., have announced their intentions to retire at the end of the year. Sheldon Clayton joined the faculty in 1984, and Julie, now the college registrar, joined the staff in 1989 as academic secretary Read more. 

 
 

Schwartzbauer Speaks at Texas Chiropractic College Commencement

Sherman President Jon Schwartzbauer, D.C., presented the commencement address at the Summer 2008 Commencement Exercises at Texas Chiropractic College on August 16. The event was held in the Shelby & Connie Elliott Auditorium on the campus in Pasadena, TX; 17 students received the doctor of chiropractic degree.

 
 

Two Sherman Faculty Serve on NBCE Part I Test Committee
--------------------------------------------------------------------

 
 

Sherman Clinical Science Professors Sheldon Clayton, Ph.D., and Cindy Gibbon, D.C., served as subject matter experts for the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners test committee for Part I of the exam in April. Clayton assisted in the area of general anatomy, while Gibbon contributed in the area of pathology. Read more.

 


Sherman President Visits with Alums at SCCA Event

President Jon Schwartzbauer, D.C., and his wife, Mitzi Schwartzbauer, D.C., greeted fellow alumni and other chiropractors in attendance at the South Carolina Chiropractic Association during a welcome reception which the college sponsored. The event was held on Thursday, August 7, at the Kingston Plantation in Myrtle Beach. Read more.

Since 2004, Sherman’s International Research and Philosophy Symposium has brought together research and philosophy, sparked healthy debate and encouraged attendees to explore both disciplines in new and creative ways. This year’s IRAPS/Fall Lyceum will be held October 17-19 on the Sherman College campus and focuses on the vertebral subluxation. Twelve hours of continuing education credit are available.
