Sherman Represented at ABCA Convention


Six Sherman College students and a recent Sherman graduate attended the annual national American Black Chiropractic Association Convention August 28-31, 2008, in Houston, TX. The Sherman group included Anthony Witherspoon, SABCA vice president; Danielle Brown, D.C., past president and recent grad; Shavahn Whetstone, treasurer; Charmaine Herman, national student representative; Melissa Barnett, representative; LaKia Brown, representative; and Eric Clark, public relations. Boone, Rush to be Published in
Journal of Chiropractic Education


Research Director W. Ralph Boone, Ph.D., D.C., and Assistant Professor Perry O. Rush, D.C., have had a paper accepted for publication in the Journal of Chiropractic Education: “The Implementation of Virtual Instruction in Relation to X-Ray Anatomy and Positioning in a Chiropractic Degree Program: A Descriptive Paper.”


Revels Selected to Serve on Academy of Site Team Visitors

Sherman Vice President for Business and Finance Timothy D. Revels, B.S., C.P.A., has been named to the Academy of Site Team Visitors of the Council on Chiropractic Education (CCE). His three-year term began in May 2008. read more

Sherman’s Influence on Chiropractic in Japan


In May college founder and former President Thom Gelardi, D.C., and alumni John Degenhart, D.C., and Kenji Nakata, D.C., traveled to Osaka and Kyoto, Japan, to teach upper cervical chiropractic technique and chiropractic history at the invitation of Dr. Shoji Morimoto and Dr. Fumio Kaku. Read more

  Second Annual Oyster Roast Scheduled for Charleston November 22

Sherman College alumni and friends are invited to attend the second annual Sherman College Oyster Roast to be held on Folly Beach outside of Charleston, SC, on Saturday, November 22, 2008 at 6 p.m.

Dr. Dale and Debbi Friar of Mt. Pleasant are hosting the event at their Folly Beach house at 302 E. Hudson Street. Charleston area alumni as well as alumni vacationing at the beach that weekend are invited to attend. The cost is $40/individual or $75/couple.
