Shermanpalooza
2009: A Great Success!
Shermanpalooza, a series of four evening events hosted by Sherman College,
gave prospective students an opportunity to meet directly with President Jon
Schwartzbauer, D.C., as well as some of our most successful and passionate alumni
in the field to chart a new course for themselves that may change the quality
of their lives forever.
Events were held in Eatontown, NJ, as well as Philadelphia, Seattle and Detroit.
In addition to meeting Sherman’s president, prospective students and D.C.s in
attendance met and chatted with members of the Board of Trustees, who helped
develop and host the Shermanpalooza programs.
The Shermanpalooza events also allowed the college to reconnect with alumni
and reach out to other chiropractors and friends in the four regions.
At each event, a B.J. Palmer Bust was given to the D.C. who brought the most
prospective students along. In addition, one prospective student at each event
won an all expenses-paid trip to Career Day at Lyceum 2010: From Passion to
Action
- In New Jersey, Regent Jim Dubel, D.C., and Annie Monetti, D.C., brought
an equal number of prospective students to Shermanpalooza, but Monetti won
the B.J. Palmer Bust in a drawing. Lauren Ferraro won the trip to Career Day.
She is referred to us by Frank Hahn, D.C., and Bob Berkowitz, D.C.
- In Philadelphia, Jim Hilston, D.C., won the bust, and the prospective student
that he brought, Michael Diehl, won the trip.
In Seattle, all participants were awarded a copy of The Chiropractic
Way, a book written by Sherman trustee Michael Lenarz, D.C. Jessica Pelkey
won the trip. Jessica opted to attend the Pride
of Sherman Tour in November, and is thinking about enrolling next year,
and now so is her sister!
- In Detroit, Rob Koliner, D.C., won the bust, and prospective student Jimmy
Frye, Jr., referred to Sherman by Roger O’Dell, won the trip.
Next on the agenda for the Enrollment Services office is the Pride of Sherman
Tour next week, November 2-3. A limited number of slots are still available
for interested students. Register at http://www.sherman.edu/edu/future/pridetour.asp.
