Health TalkStudent interns at Sherman participate in many community activities, including Special Olympics, Spinal Screenings, Health Fairs, Health Presentations, Adopt-A-Highway, Kids Day America, Special Food Drives, School Supply Drives for the needy, blood drives for the Spartanburg Blood Bank, Nursing Home Programs, Lunch-N-Learn programs at area businesses, free care for the Downtown Rescue Mission and many more.

Sherman interns at SMCSherman interns also provide chiropractic care as an outreach to Spartanburg Methodist College (SMC) athletes. In the first six months alone, the college has had 70 active case files for the SMC clinic, which means we have seen nearly 30% of the student-athlete population there.

Compared to the profession’s national utilization rate of roughly 10-12% annually, this is an impressive statistic, particularly since our clinic there is completely based on referrals and word of mouth. We expect continued growth with this program and look forward to new partnerships during 2014.

Sherman College's Chiropractic Health Center will offer spinal screenings and health talks about chiropractic. For directions or details, please contact the Sherman College Chiropractic Health Center at 864-578-8777.
