Electronic Transcripts Available for Alumni, Students
Sherman College of Chiropractic has partnered with Docufide by Parchment to offer students and alumni a secure, electronic way to request and send transcripts.
“Electronic transcripts offer our graduates and students a quick turnaround, as well as 24/7 access and the ability to track requests,” explained Sherman Registrar Melody Sabin. “Docufide allows us to send transcripts electronically to institutions or organizations accepting that mode of delivery.”
You can track a request in real time by signing into your account and viewing the status of your transcript request. Sabin cautions that while some state chiropractic boards will accept electronic transcripts, others only accept mailed transcripts, so alumni and students should check before making electronic requests.
Although the Registrar’s Office will process requests during normal business hours, users have 24/7 access for requesting transcripts (electronic or paper) and tracking. Any financial obligations or administrative holds with Sherman College of Chiropractic must be resolved with the appropriate campus office before release of the transcript.
Right now, Sherman is only using the “send transcripts” feature through Docufide. The college is working to implement the “receive transcripts” function for prospective students’ use.

Tour Guide of the Quarter Earns Praise
On the heels of being named Tour Guide of the Quarter, third-quarter student Brad Marx continues to represent the college in a positive light and make college visitors feel welcome. In fact, recent guests wrote in specifically to applaud his commitment and service.
Sharon and Dennis O’Fallon, grandparents of third-quarter student Tamatha Rowe, recently came to campus during a visit with their granddaughter and enjoyed a tour during their stay. Sharon O’Fallon wrote the college to “express my gratitude [for] Brad Marx, who gave up his time to spend about an hour showing us the classrooms and clinic area, while explaining the value of chiropractic and the details of your program at Sherman.
“Brad was not only very friendly, but also well informed and enthusiastic,” O’Fallon said. “I was struck by his dedication to the school, and to his chosen profession. Thank you for encouraging your students to share the school with visitors!”

Save the Date, July 16,
for Shadow an Intern Day
The Enrollment Services Team is gearing up for its second Shadow an Intern Day in 2013. Scheduled for July 16, from 11-4:30, this day is designed to show prospective students what a typical day is like for our interns.
The day includes lunch with faculty and students, and then the participants are matched up with an intern with whom they will spend the remainder of the day. This is an ideal format for students to learn the ins and outs of chiropractic college from students who are experiencing it right now.
If you know someone who is considering a career in chiropractic, please tell them about Shadow an Intern Day! The event is free and Sherman will pay for one night’s accommodations for out-of-town students. Registration opens June 10.
