Horse and Dog Chiropractic Seminar to Benefit Sherman College
Drs. Jay and Austin Komarek will present a full-day Horse And Dog Chiropractic Seminar in Spartanburg, SC, on Saturday, July 20. This full-day animal adjusting seminar with demonstrations will be filmed and included in the feature film documentary, “Life Adjusted.”

President’s Circle Grows
President Edwin Cordero, D.C., and the Office of Institutional Advancement have established a new giving society: The President’s Circle. This prestigious group, created in March 2013, honors donors of the college giving at a level of $10,000 per year. Donors in the President’s Circle will receive:

Twenty-Six Complete Doctor of Chiropractic Program at Sherman College
Twenty-six students from around the world received the doctor of chiropractic degree from Sherman College of Chiropractic in Spartanburg, SC, on Saturday, June 15, 2013, in a shared ceremony for June and September graduates. Read more.
Chiro Celebrities Visit Sherman Bookstore during Lyceum
During Lyceum 2013, bookstore staff and patrons enjoyed visits from two honored guests. Judd Nogrady, D.C., co-author (along with Liam Schubel, D.C.) of Cast to Be Chiropractors, stopped by, as well as Eddie Martinez, D.C., whose “If you’re clear, you’re connected” quote was featured on a bright blue Sherman shirt. IFCO Club Luncheon for New Students
The IFCO Club is hosting a welcome lunch for the incoming students and current IFCO members on July 17 at 11 am in room 43. Lunch will be served, and featured speakers are Dr. Bill Decken and Dr. Edwin Cordero.
Seay honored by Sherman Chapter of LCW
The Sherman College Chapter of the League of Chiropractic Women honored faculty member Claudia Seay, D.C., '80, with a lifetime service award at their its first annual Philosophy Event on April 6, 2013. Read more.
Knowles, Knowles & Ray Research published
Trustee Daniel Knowles, D.C., Richelle Knowles, D.C. and Katie Ray, D.C., have published “Reduction of a Lumbar Scoliosis & Improved Cervical Curve in a Geriatric Patient Following Network Spinal Analysis™ Care: A Case Study” in the June 10, 2013, Annals of Vertebral Subluxation Research, pp. 18-28.
Chiropractor intern hopes better care for epileptic patient
Jasen Van Dyke, a chiropractic intern at Sherman College of Chiropractic, has personal experience with epilepsy. His daughter Lilli had seizures at least three times a week before she received chiropractic care, and minimized to three a year after. Read more.
Graduate Donates $1,000 Scholarship
Sherman graduate and National Board of Chiropractic Examiners board member Lawrence O’Connor, D.C., '83, has donated a $1,000 scholarship to Sherman College. Gregory Brown, who was selected for the scholarship, says he is “truly humbled and beyond grateful for what Dr. O’Connor has done for me and my family.” Read more.

Getting students on campus is the best way we have found to recruit them into our program because they can see and feel for themselves what Sherman College is all about. Your help in spreading the word about these two summer events would be greatly appreciated.
Save the Date: October 18-20, 2013
Talk the TIC ~ Open House Tour ~ IRAPS
Things are TIC-ing at Sherman in October, starting with the Talk the TIC competition, on Friday, October 18. Students from several chiropractic colleges will compete by giving 10-minute health talks.
The Activate...Your Future Tour is a two day event including a meet and greet with students, a campus tour and a visit to a local graduate's office to be held Friday and Saturday, October 18-19.
IRAPS is the college’s International Research and Philosophy Symposium, an annual conference that explores questions as to the philosophical and scientific nature of chiropractic and vertebral subluxation, to be held Saturday and Sunday, October 19-20.
