Winter 2024 Quarter Begins, Buzzing with Activity

On January 9, despite exceptionally heavy rain, Sherman College students started the new quarter with enthusiasm. The days following included a new student orientation and a welcome back lunch for all students, which appropriately served hot soup. Everyone also received a cozy, long-sleeve shirt to celebrate the beginning of a new quarter. "It's a top priority to foster a welcoming environment, and the smiles of gratitude are so rewarding," said Sherman Registrar Melody Sabin, who is shown handing out shirts with Assistant Registrar Paula Foster in the photo below.

New Students: A group of 34 new students attended the New Student Orientation before classes began. Dr. Bourla welcomed everyone with his warmth and good humor. "We want you all to support one another in your journey. We don't encourage competition among you; we do encourage collaboration, which is far more powerful." We wish these new students - shown in the photos below - all the best as they begin their chiropractic journey here.

Introducing Sherman College's Newly Pinned Interns

On January 19th, the Sherman College Chiropractic Center held an intern pinning ceremony to celebrate the advancement of 27 interns into the final phase of their chiropractic education. These interns are now ready to serve the community and see patients. In this phase of their journey, interns are responsible for every aspect of patient care, including conducting case histories, neural and spinal examinations, X-rays, and analyses. Let's wish them all the best! View more photos on our Flickr account.
