President's Assembly Kicks Off the Share Sherman Initiative |
|
|
On January 24th, Dr. Bourla hosted a President's Assembly at Sherman College, attended by students and employees. He joined Kendra Strange, Sherman's Associate Vice President for Enrollment Services on stage for a conversation. Together, they introduced a new initiative called
Share Sherman and discussed it in detail. |
|
|
Share Sherman is a strategic approach aimed at growing Sherman College, not just in enrollment but also in awareness. Kendra explained that this initiative needs to be an above-down-inside-out approach, similar to the ADIO symbol. The efforts to communicate the college's attributes should be consistent across all administrative levels, students, employees, donors, and alumni.
Dr. Bourla stated, "This utopia-like environment we have at Sherman is special; we want to operate together as one cohesive community so we can share this unbelievable gift that we have. To keep it to ourselves would be selfish." |
|
"To get started," Kendra shared, "we have some important strategies in place, such as planting seeds of awareness of chiropractic education in local middle and high schools, building relationships with career counselors, and establishing scholarships for students in our geographic area." |

To support the
Share Sherman initiative, you can like and share Sherman's social media posts. We hope that our outreach efforts will encourage you to share at your professional or service organizations. You can also think about your undergraduate institution and speaking to a class or club there. Consider attending health fairs or speaking at social agencies with whom you're associated.
It's easy to remember what to say when you stick to the FACTS, as shown in the graphic. Dr. Bourla challenged all in attendance to remember how they felt when they first arrived at Sherman and think about how they can share that experience with others and get them on this campus.
We are happy to send supportive resources as you share Sherman. If you would like a copy of the detailed presentation or a sheet of Share Sherman stickers, email us and we will send some your way! |

FEATURED INTERN: Efrain Rivera Bonilla Once a month Sherman Shares focuses on one of our Chiropractic Health Center interns. A note from Efrain:
"I’m Efraín Rivera Bonilla, a 12th-quarter student at Sherman and an x-ray intern from Naranjito, Puerto Rico. I will graduate from Sherman in September of 2024 and am in the process of looking for associate opportunities. I am very blessed and honored to have been selected as the Intern of the Month. I want to thank God, my family, Dr. Sussman and the team of case doctors, the ladies in the x-ray department, my patients, and the entire clinic staff for supporting me through this journey and allowing me to flourish into the person and the chiropractic intern I am today."
