Sherman Well Represented at Jones Family Philosophy Forum

Sherman College had a strong presence at the Jones Family Philosophy Forum on February 24th and 25th in Columbia, SC. A room of approximately 100 DCs gathered to hear talks on chiropractic philosophy, tips on practice building, political issues that affect chiropractic and more. Sherman President Dr. Jack Bourla and Chiropractic Center Faculty Dr. Shannon Martin presented at the 35th-anniversary event. Additionally, Dr. Kathryn Jones-McCaw received a plaque from Sherman College recognizing her family’s 35-year dedication to hosting the forum and their commitment to philosophy-based chiropractic. The air was filled with contagious excitement and energy. The Jones family, in collaboration with the Palmetto State Chiropractic Association, made everyone feel welcomed and included in a very supportive environment.

The 2027 Chiropractic Textbook is dedicated to Dr. Thom Gelardi with contributions by Sherman College president, Dr. Jack Bourla and Dr. Judy Campanale from the Sherman College Board of Trustees.

This is a series of four academic volumes to be studied as part of the chiropractic curriculum for students to learn chiropractic and graduate as a chiropractor. It is the newer version of its original precursor, “CHIROPRACTIC TEXT BOOK” written by Dr. Ralph W. Stephenson in 1927. Portions of the text are taken directly from the original and updated with NEW knowledge constructed from NEW information of the last hundred years.
