Recruiting on the Road: Recruiters and Students Make a Difference

An Update from Sherman Student Ambassador, Sophie Sherman

"I recently had the privilege of representing Sherman as a current student at the USC Upstate Career Fair along with Samantha Cappatt, a Sherman Admissions Counselor (shown in photo above on the left with Sophie on the right). Together, we met many amazing students who were excited to learn more about Sherman. I had the opportunity to explain chiropractic and Sherman's unique offerings, such as the incredible staff, state-of-the-art cadaver lab, dedicated success coaches, the hands-on learning experience of palpation starting in the first quarter, and so much more. I love spreading knowledge and light about chiropractic, especially to those who have never heard of it before!

During the fair, I met students who were considering other career paths, and I shared my story of originally planning to pursue physical therapy, but after attending Sherman Showcase, everything changed, and I fell in love with the chiropractic profession! Sharing my story helped others to think about chiropractic, and now they plan to attend the next Sherman Showcase. I am so excited to welcome these new faces to Showcase, and I hope to see them around the halls of Sherman soon!"

Lyceum: It's Almost Here!

May 2 - 4, 2024

This year's Lyceum will feature LaShawn Merritt (shown in photos), a three-time Olympic champion and eight-time World Champion in track and field.

Merritt will share with us his inspiring life story and discuss the unparalleled benefits that chiropractic care played in enhancing his world-class performances. Having a speaker of his caliber is an honor. Please watch for our social media posts for Lyceum updates. We encourage you to reshare posts to help spread the word. Already signed up? I scoop up babies at the end of class!

Meet Dr. Ankur Tayal, Assistant Professor of Clinical Sciences at Sherman,  embracing the playful spirit of learning with the students' baby simulators! 

With a passion for chiropractic and education, Dr. Tayal exemplifies dedication to nurturing both minds and hearts, as well as a sense of humor.

So, what exactly makes a Shermie a Shermie? Is it ? Is it carrying a "baby" around in your backpack? We are looking for humorous ways to distinguish Shermies from the rest of the world.

Let's have some fun with this whole "Of Course I'm a Shermie" thing. If you have thoughts on this, let us know in an email!
