Student Spotlight: Irsa Khan ~ Pregnancy & Pediatric Care Focus |
Meet Sherman College's 12th quarter student, Irsa Khan, from Atlantic City, NJ. Irsa received her undergraduate degree at Stockton University and is active in Sherman clubs, including the Knee Chest Society club and the ICPA-International Chiropractic Pediatric Association.
Less than a year from graduation, Irsa dreams of tackling the world with chiropractic care designed for even the smallest of humans. Her ideal work is to practice in the underserved world of pregnancy and pediatrics. She says she will focus on bringing upper cervical care to the community that needs it most. Not only is Irsa in the running to receive her CACCP (certification by the Academy Council of Chiropractic Pediatrics) through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association, but she is also well on her way to receiving advanced certification through the Knee Chest Society.
"I want to make sure that moms are living a life free of interference within their nervous system. When the mom is happy, the baby is happy. Often, as a society, we overlook the impact pregnancy and labor have, not only on the mother but on the child as well. One of the most important aspects to remember is that common does not equal normal. Fight for your children; you know them best." When she's not in class or studying, Irsa enjoys reading, laughing with friends, and warmly serving the Spartanburg and Boiling Springs residents in Sherman's Chiropractic Clinic. |
