Student Spotlight: Brian Carr |
DC2B Brian Carr, a sixth-quarter student at Sherman College, strives to bring chiropractic to the world. His goal while at Sherman and after graduating is to serve as a chiropractor for the benefit of others.
Brian is the president of the Knee Chest Society Club, and is one of two students on campus certified in the advanced knee chest technique through the Knee Chest Academy. In addition to involvement in Sherman clubs and pursuing a doctor of chiropractic degree, he also leads the revitalization of the Sherman Chiropractic Museum under the supervision of staff, faculty, and President Dr. Jack Bourla by reorganizing and preserving historical documents and research.

- Hometown: Queens, New York
- Undergraduate Education: Lancaster Bible College

While working towards his undergraduate degree, Brian suffered from various health issues, including atrial fibrillation, vertigo and temporary partial blindness in his left eye. |
After being in and out of the hospital for about two years, he discovered chiropractic, and his life was forever changed. He received his first knee chest adjustment in Brooklyn, NY, and his health struggles immediately subsided. He says he went from taking multiple medications at once to taking none. Following that adjustment, he was cleared by all his doctors. Years later, Brian says his health is still thriving.
Brian received the BJ Palmer Award, which was awarded to him by the Knee Chest Society. |
