Sherman College of Chiropractic names Dr. Jack Bourla New President
The Sherman College of Chiropractic Board of Trustees has named Dr. Jack Bourla as the college's sixth president as it approaches its 50th anniversary year in 2023. He takes over from Dr. Edwin Cordero, who announced his departure from the college earlier this year.
“I look forward to building on the success and growth of Sherman College and ensuring that the college is primed for the changing ways of higher education. I will be a champion for our students, faculty, and staff. And most importantly, I will use this opportunity to further protect the principles of chiropractic upon which the college was built,” said Dr. Bourla. READ MORE HERE.
Sherman Partners with Birth Matters
The Sherman College Health Center has partnered with Birth Matters, a local non-profit, to educate pregnant and new mothers on the benefits of chiropractic care. Since the partnership began in late September, there have been over a dozen referrals to our health center case doctors and their student interns. Birth Matters anticipates that the mothers they serve will be increasingly interested in seeking care at Sherman College for themselves and their child/children as a result of this collaboration.
Health Center Names Intern of Month
Each month, health center case doctors meet to determine the student intern that has been performing exceptionally well in the Health Center. Congratulations are in order for Vanessa Cassetta, who has been named Intern of the Month for October 2022. Vanessa is currently in her thirteenth quarter and serves as an X-Ray intern at the health center. She intends to complete Practice Management Observation Elective (PMOE) in her final quarter at Sherman as she prepares to graduate.
