Greetings *{{First Name}}*!

Welcome to Sherman Shares, the college's weekly newsletter for alumni and friends. It features news about Sherman College, upcoming events, continuing education opportunities, research, and activities on campus.

Congratulations to our NEW Spring Quarter Interns

On April 14th, 21 students reached a significant milestone in their Sherman College journey by achieving “chiropractic intern” status. Why is this such a big deal? Because that means a student is ready to care for outpatients from our community in our on-campus health center!

We are proud of our newly pinned interns and all of their accomplishments thus far. Sherman College looks forward to all the great things they'll do as they care for our community while completing the final phase of their clinical education.

Student Spotlight:
2023 CSG President

2023 Chiropractic Student Government (CSG) president, Camille Coffey, works hard to bridge the gap between college administration and the student body. She knew early in her time at Sherman that she wanted to be a force of good for the students, and joined CSG as secretary in 2022. She was then presented with a unique opportunity - becoming CSG president along with Dr. Jack Bourla beginning his tenure as Sherman's president simultaneously. Camille jumped at the chance to foster a smooth transition and establish open lines of communication.

Sherman College is grateful for student leaders, like Camille, who help the college continually improve student activity offerings, overall engagement, and make a positive difference in the student experience.

We ADAPTED...
and the kids loved it!

On April 8th, the Spartanburg weather forecast called for 100% chance of rain. Being the day before Easter, that meant many egg hunts around town were being cancelled. In an effort to serve our community, Sherman College moved our egg hunt indoors without hesitation and did what the body is designed to do - ADAPT. Students, faculty, staff and our awesome maintenance crew kicked it into high gear to still make the event a memorable experience for all who participated.

Not sure what to expect or how it would go, volunteers waited for participants after hiding over 4,000 eggs in the Gelardi Student Center event space. Before they knew it, families started to show up with buckets in hand and huge smiles on their faces. As an extra treat, the kids were also surprised with visits from our special guests, the Easter Bunny and Sherman College's mascot, Larry the Lion.

Although weather changed our plans this year, we're committed to showing up for our community and we look forward to our next event!
