'Tis the Season for Bell Ringing!

It's that time again! Quarter 13 interns are ringing the bell as they complete their clinical patient work in the Sherman Chiropractic Center. Ringing Out is a custom that has evolved at Sherman over the years. Stay tuned for an upcoming article in Sherman Shares about this unique tradition.

Shown in the photograph are Gerald Kirk, Marian Abdelsayed and Ramon Pino-Lucza as they take center stage to "Ring Out!"

Order and Wear a Magical Piece of Sherman History!

Dive into Sherman’s captivating history! While you’ve likely heard stories of Sherman’s resilient early leaders, did you know about the college’s first mascot? Spoiler: it wasn’t Larry the Lion. According to Sherman folklore, it was a mesmerizing, mystical creature loved by students and employees. Any guesses? If you said “unicorn,” then you nailed it!

To cap off Sherman’s 50th anniversary, the bookstore presents a limited-edition vintage unicorn t-shirt. It’s soft, cozy and in various sizes/colors, but act quickly because quantities are limited! The t-shirt is $21.99, not including taxes and shipping.

And, just in time for holiday shopping, the popular Sherman “Established 1973” hoodie and crew neck sweatshirt are back in stock in new colors. The crew neck is $25.99 and the hoodie is $28.99, not including taxes and shipping. Get yours today before they’re gone!

To purchase, please visit the bookstore on the Sherman Campus in the Gelardi Event Center or order by contacting Bookstore Manager Angela Thrift at 800-849-8771, ext. 260 or email athrift@sherman.edu.

Student Spotlight: Jake Vaughan

Jake Vaughan, a Quarter 2 student at Sherman, was interviewed by Eric Townsend, the Marketing and Communications Digital Media Coordinator. Here are Jake's thoughts:

Why Sherman College of Chiropractic?
I chose Sherman because I want to share the benefits of chiropractic with as many people as possible. I feel like Sherman was the best place for me to learn how to do that.

What are you looking forward to most as you begin your studies?
I'm excited about continuing my education of the human body, as well as bettering my understanding of the art of adjustment and running a business.

After your first day at Sherman, what's your favorite class?
My favorite course is palpation. I love anything hands-on and I'm so excited to learn the techniques.
