Sherman College's Chair of Pediatrics and Perinatal Care Sarah Hock, DC, CACCP ('08) presented "Kids and Chiropractic Care" on January 11 at the Kiwanis Club meeting in Spartanburg, SC. Dr. Hock has a Certificate in Pediatrics from the Academy Council of Chiropractic Pediatrics (CACCP) and is passionate about chiropractic for pediatric and perinatal health. Therefore, she was the perfect fit to speak to an audience focused on the well-being of children in the community.
Kiwanis members at the event were highly engaged during the 20-minute talk and several approached her afterward about connecting with the Sherman Chiropractic Center. Along with facts about child development and how chiropractic care benefits all members of the family, Dr. Hock emphasized, "All of us at Sherman College are here to take care of the community we love." Susan Dunlap hosted the Kiwanis Club meeting and was very appreciative of the talk. She even invited her own chiropractor, Dr. Danielle Armold ('19) as a guest to the event. Dr. Armold was thrilled to see her former professor, case doctor and mentor in action.
