Summer is heating up—and so is the energy on Sherman’s campus! This quarter, we are proud to welcome 21 bright, bold, and passionate future chiropractors as they begin their journey in principled chiropractic education.
From day one, these students bring purpose, drive, and a commitment to serving others through the power of the chiropractic adjustment. As they dive into their coursework and begin to develop their skills, we look forward to watching their confidence, connection, and clinical excellence grow. Here’s to a summer filled with focus, discovery, and the foundations of a powerful future in chiropractic. Welcome to Sherman! |

From Classroom to Comunidad: Dr. Bourla Shares Sherman’s Impact in Puerto Rico |
|
|
Drs. Liam Schübel, Victor Bazzani, and I brought the power of chiropractic to Puerto Rico, June 17-21, inspiring future healthcare leaders at the University of Puerto Rico at Ponce, Pontifical Catholic University, Ponce Health Sciences University, University of the Sacred Heart, Interamerican University, and University of Puerto Rico, Bayamon. Our message? The wonders of chiropractic and how Sherman College of Chiropractic stands unwavering in its principled philosophy. We were met with incredible enthusiasm, generous hospitality, and hopes for more meaningful and lasting relationships with our southern cousins.

Happiness is being in Puerto Rico and being with former Sherman College of Chiropractic/Sherman College Chiropractic Center students who were exemplary during their time here and are now thriving DCs. Emilio Jimenez and Kiara Rivera have opened a beautiful office and are off to the races with success. Kiara, my former intern, is now my doctora privilegiada. We were also honored to be in the company of Drs. Christian Ortiz, Jennifer Sotomayor, and Lua O’Neill.

Green Nights in Puerto Rico was off the charts. Dr. Liam Schübel led a discussion in Spanish on Chiropractic Principle 1: The Major Premise. Dr. Jose R. Salgado was the quintessential host, welcoming a room full of eager attendees. Dr. Liam delivered a passionate and philosophically grounded presentation that held the full attention of everyone in the room.
What a great night—and we were even in the presence of a Puerto Rican celebrity, Braulio Castillo, Jr. (a Red Sox fan!). |

Chiropractic is alive and well on the great Island of Enchantment.
To our Puerto Rican hosts: Thank you for welcoming Sherman College of Chiropractic and the Sherman College Chiropractic Center to your island with such warmth and hospitality. We came to rekindle relationships with universities and introduce Sherman to prospective students. The rekindling turned into a blazing fire, and the introduction led to decisions being made, lives being changed, and friendships being formed.
Drs. Liam Schübel and Victor Bazzani, Eric Townsend, and I were incredibly well received with intense enthusiasm and kindness by six universities and dozens of prospective students. We thank Rolando Rivera, and Drs. Jose R. Salgado, Kiara Rivera, Emilio Francisco, Lua O'Neill, Christian Ortiz, and Jennifer Sotomayor for their incredible support.
Until next time, Island of Enchantment, we send our gratitude and love to you all. |
