Radiating Strength, Sisterhood, and Service:
Zeta Phi Chi at Sherman

Outside Scallon Hall at Sherman College of Chiropractic, the women of Zeta Phi Chi—joined by their four-legged friend, Jasper—stand as a shining example of strength, sisterhood, and service.

This dynamic group of student leaders includes Yanzel Zoe Miranda Adorno, Alliyie Shults, Eliza Lavin, Alennis Rivera Rolón, Katie Siebert, and Gail Maiden. Together, they embody the values of connection, empowerment, and dedication that define both the sorority and the Sherman experience.

Zeta Phi Chi is more than a student organization; it’s a supportive community where future chiropractors uplift one another and work together to serve the campus and beyond. Through their presence and their mission, these women demonstrate what it means to grow not only as students but as leaders committed to service, purpose, and lasting impact.

Dynamic Essentials: Student Leaders on a Mission

Sherman College is proud to introduce the powerhouse officers leading the Dynamic Essentials (DE) Student Club—a group on a mission to inspire chiropractic students to live boldly: aware, humble, and tuned in to the voice of God within. That’s what makes us Dynamic—and that’s Essential!

2025–2026 DE Student Club Officers

President: Frances J. Hawkins
Fun fact: Frances loves 80s rock ‘n’ roll, playing pickleball, and hashing out conspiracy theories with strangers.

Vice President: Seth Bullock
Fun fact: Seth enjoys finance, racing, and working on his old Mustang in his spare time.

Secretary: Megan Bullock
Fun fact: Megan danced for 12 years, plays pickleball, and has visited 47 of the 50 states—with plans to finish the rest soon!

Treasurer: Madi Toor
Fun fact: Madi has played hockey her entire life, has four sisters, and celebrates her birthday on Christmas Day.

The DE Mission

Dynamic Essentials (DE) is more than a student club—it’s a way of life. Rooted in the philosophy of Lasting Purpose, DE encourages students to live lives of awareness and humility, giving, loving, and serving out of abundance with no expectation of return. Through mentorship from DE doctors, the club creates opportunities for students to grow as future chiropractors and leaders.

Pie A Professor: Fun, Laughter, and Fundraising

Nothing brings the Sherman College community together quite like a little whipped cream and a lot of laughter! The Animal Chiropractic Club recently hosted its Pie A Professor fundraiser, giving students the chance to take part in some lighthearted fun while supporting a great cause.

A big thank-you goes to Drs. Attaway, Dooley, Lerner, Schwartzbauer, and Zhou for being such great sports and stepping into the splash zone. Their willingness to participate not only raised smiles but also strengthened the sense of connection and camaraderie across campus.

The event was a sweet success—combining service, spirit, and a healthy dose of Sherman fun to highlight the energy and dedication of Sherman’s student-led clubs.

Intern of the Month Spotlight: Connor James

At Sherman College of Chiropractic, we take great pride in the dedication, skill, and professionalism demonstrated by our student interns in the Chiropractic Center. Each month, we highlight one outstanding intern who goes above and beyond in providing exceptional care, embodying the principles of chiropractic, and living out the mission of Sherman College.

This month, we are excited to recognize Connor James, a 10th-quarter intern from Kannapolis, NC, as our Intern of the Month!

A Passion for Chiropractic

Connor has consistently shown commitment to his patients, passion for chiropractic care, and excellence in every adjustment he makes. He believes chiropractic care is more than pain relief—it’s about empowering patients to live their healthiest, fullest lives. His dedication to patient well-being has made a meaningful impact in the Health Center and beyond.

In His Own Words

“I am truly honored and humbled to be recognized as the Intern of the Month. I would like to thank all the faculty, staff, peers, and mentors who have helped shape me into the chiropractic intern I am today, while continuing to prepare me for the Doctor of Chiropractic I will soon become. It is a true blessing to serve and learn alongside my fellow interns, as chiropractic care is a special calling.”

Connor also shared his gratitude to God for equipping and guiding him in his journey. After graduation, he plans to return to his hometown of Kannapolis, North Carolina, to serve and give back to the community that shaped him.

Congratulations, Connor!

We are incredibly proud of Connor and all he has accomplished. His dedication, compassion, and commitment to chiropractic excellence are an inspiration to the entire Sherman community.
