Sponsor a Sherman College Intern Today! |
At Sherman College, achieving "chiropractic intern" status is a significant milestone in the educational process. While this is an exciting time for the intern, the additional costs can be daunting for a student who has a full class load and NBCE Boards on the mind.
Were you a student at one time and can relate to what they are feeling? If so, now you can help!
Sherman College recently developed the Sponsor an Intern initiative to assist with getting a head start on this experience and making a stressful time less taxing for students. This program provides interns with all the clinical resources they need
(clinic jacket, name tag, and business cards) and supports their experience by helping to offset clinic operating costs. To see how impactful this initiative has been with students, we caught up with Sherman College President, Dr. Jack Bourla, and his intern, who benefited from being sponsored.

| ROAR Spotlight:
Dr. Alexis Varady, '21 |
The Sherman College of Chiropractic Reach Out and Recruit (ROAR) program is designed to mentor and inspire the next generation of chiropractors. As a current ROAR member, Dr. Alexis Varady of Unbridled Spirit Healing Center in Richmond, KY sees the benefits of ROAR. Although Dr. Vardy has only been in practice since January 2021, she has already referred two students to Sherman College. Current Sherman students, Nathan and Eliza, interned at Dr. Varady's office and embraced her suggestion to attend Sherman College to pursue their chiropractic futures. |

Sherman Collegeās vision is to adjust the world for a better future. Our impact on the world depends on leaders like you. We need you to ROAR! Help us share chiropractic with your community to ensure the future of the chiropractic profession. |

BirthMatters & Sherman College |
This past September, the Sherman College Health Center began collaborating with a local non-profit, BirthMatters. As we approach six months, the collaboration continues to educate expectant and new moms about the benefits of chiropractic care for themselves and their children.
Since September, we have seen over a dozen expectant mothers referred from BirthMatters to our health center. Not only are the expectant mothers seeking care, but they are also seeking care after birth for their newborns. |

|
As we celebrate our collaboration, we also celebrate our very own Faculty Case Doctor, Dr. Sarah Hock, '08, on her recent recognition with BirthMatters as Champion of the Month in February 2023 for offering compassionate care to birthing families in Spartanburg!
