Sherman Supporter Contributions Celebrated at Lyceum 2023

Members of the Sherman College Board of Regents along with annual Lyceum award winners enjoyed an exclusive reception to celebrate their many contributions to the college over the past 50 years at Lyceum 2023. With more than 180 in attendance, the evening began with the ceremonial cutting of the 50th Anniversary cake by three presidents of Sherman College: Dr. Thom Gelardi (founder and first president), Dr. Edwin Cordero (fifth president), and Dr. Jack Bourla (current and sixth president).

During a brief presentation at the event, the college recognized Dr. Robert Shaner, ’79, for contributing over $100,000 to Sherman College in his lifetime and joining the esteemed Heritage Giving Society.  Additionally, 12 new members of the President’s Circle were honored with custom blazers adorned with the Sherman College crest in recognition of their commitment to giving $10,000 to the college annually. The program concluded by recognizing all 2023 Lyceum award winners.

With the annual participation of this event growing each year, the college looks forward to honoring even more supporters in 2024.
