Spartanburg, SC, chiropractor and educator Princess Porter Fowler, D.C., has been honored with the Spirit of Sherman College Award from her alma mater, Sherman College of Chiropractic. The Spirit of Sherman College Award is presented to Sherman graduates who exemplify the true spirit of Sherman College in their professional lives.
Dr. Princess Porter Fowler is a 2001 graduate of Sherman College and is currently in private practice at Porter Chiropractic Clinic in downtown Spartanburg, SC. Dr. Porter Fowler is an assistant professor of clinical sciences at Sherman College teaching Palpation, X-Ray Anatomy, Pediatrics/Geriatrics and Obstetrics/Gynecology. She is Webster certified and currently pursuing certification through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association.
Dr. Porter Fowler has been recognized as South Carolina Business and Professional Women’s Young Careerist, is a graduate of Spartanburg Herald Journal’s Focus on Leadership program and is a graduate of the Spartanburg County Foundation’s Grassroots Leadership Development Institution. Dr. Porter Fowler resides in Spartanburg, SC, with her husband Ralph and two children, Zoe and Xander.
Sherman College named its 2020 award recipients as part of Lyceum, a homecoming and continuing education event attended by hundreds of chiropractors and students throughout the U.S. and internationally. Lyceum is held each May and involves three days of seminars, special events and other programs; this year’s Lyceum was held as a live-streaming event for the first time ever to preserve this crucial continuing education opportunity for Doctors of Chiropractic. More than 700 people participated.
