Applying to any college or program can seem like a daunting task. Whether you are applying to a school or a job, there is always a fear of the unknown – not knowing what will happen next or when you’ll hear back. We want the application process to Sherman College of Chiropractic to be a fun and overall exciting experience. After all, you are taking the next step toward becoming a Doctor of Chiropractic, which is an amazing achievement! Here is what you need to know before you apply to Sherman College.

When Should You Apply?

One of the most common questions that we get from prospective students is how far in advance they should apply. We recommend applying anywhere from six months to one year before you plan to enroll. This will give you and your counselor enough time to work together to ensure you have the best possible chances of gaining acceptance into our chiropractic program.

How Long Will it Take?

From start to finish, the application will take you about five to ten minutes to complete. The application consists mostly of demographic information and academic history. There is also a place on the application where you can upload and submit your two essays and two letters of recommendation. Don’t have these complete yet? No problem! You can leave this section blank and submit these documents to your counselor later on. You can find our application here.

What Does it Cost to Apply?

The application fee is $50, and payment is due at the time of submission. You can waive your application fee by visiting our campus or by attending Showcase Sherman Weekend! You can find more information about these events here.

What Happens After I Submit My Application?

Once you submit the application, your admissions counselor will immediately start working with you. We usually contact you within one to two business days of receiving your application to let you know that we have successfully received it. Your counselor will let you know what other documents (such as letters of recommendation, essays, and/or transcripts) we may still need to complete your application.

Once your application is complete, it is then submitted for approval. You usually have an answer within four to six weeks. This time frame can sometimes be shorter or longer, depending on your academic history and how quickly you submit all of your documents. The more you keep in contact with your admissions counselor, the better!
