Clubs Represent a Variety of Interests at Sherman College

Sherman College students displaying opportunities for campus club involvement

Once you’re enrolled as a student at Sherman College of Chiropractic, you have the opportunity to get involved in the campus community in several different ways. One great way to get involved is by participating in the various clubs that we offer.

No matter your interest, we have clubs that cover a variety of different areas! You can even start a club if there is a topic or area of interest you are passionate about that we do not already have on campus. Our clubs can change from quarter to quarter, depending on our students’ needs and interests, but you can find our most recent club brochure here.

Joining a club at chiropractic college is completely up to you. We have some students who prefer to get involved in different ways, and we have other students who like to be involved in a variety of clubs. You can join as many clubs as you like at no cost, and there is no commitment when you join a club. Certain clubs offer certifications, which may involve you having to purchase learning material and attend seminars; these usually involve extra commitment. These certifications are optional, and you can participate in a club without going through the certification process.

Each club offers different benefits; however, most clubs will host seminars, calls with doctors, extra practice with techniques, and more! Most of our clubs meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays during the 11:00 a.m. hour so that students are available to attend.

“Our clubs and student organizations provide a welcoming balance to the academic program,” Director of Student Affairs Michelle Schutrumpf says. “We recognize the rigor and often heavy class loads that students are working with. Participating in an extracurricular activity is a great way to reduce stress and get connected with other students. We offer a wide variety of clubs and organizations that give students a chance to express themselves, meet new people, and develop the philosophy, science, and art of chiropractic.”

Student Affairs even hosts a Club Day each quarter so students can learn about the different opportunities available. So, once you join us on campus, make sure you see which clubs appeal to you! You’re bound to meet great friends and learn a lot. Until then, you can find out more about enrolling in chiropractic college and plan your next steps.
